The company was formed in October 1998 by Roy (Twig) Gullberg III and Bill Stoudenmier. Both had worked at Preco for many years and saw the need for an alternative to the shops that were in the area. We moved into the building at 2100 Skinner Road in May 1999 and have more than doubled the size of the shop in three years. The shop presently has 24,000 square feet of shop space plus an additional 11,500 square feet of covered storage space. \r\n\r\nOur expertise in W501F components comes from Alan Lovelace. He came on board in February 2001 after working at Westinghouse for 12 years. He was the lead manufacturing engineer on the first W501F#s built in Pensacola and was the Technical Services Manager at the Westinghouse Repair Shop when the W501F repairs were developed. \r\n\r\nTRS has engineered fixtures for the row 1, row 2, row 3 and row 4 vane segments as well as the transitions, DLN baskets, fuel nozzles and compressor diaphragms. The design of these fixtures allows the customer to verify all of the critical dimensions that are required at final assembly before being caught on the critical path of an outage. We have listened to many customers complain that even though the parts are repaired to Westinghouse #specifications# they have problems fitting them into the machine. Several customers have surmised that this lack of fit is what is causing many of the transition problems. \r\n\r\nIn order for you to be more comfortable with us we would like to dimensionally inspect one set of each component for free. This would allow you to compare our inspection results with actual installation dimensions/experience. \r\n\r\nWe have also inspected/repaired W501F blade rings, interstage air seals and reverse engineered compressor diaphragm dimensions. Most of the Long Term Service Agreements do not include these components for repair. We would like to have a chance to quote on these components during any outages that you might have. \r\n\r\nWe are sincerely interested in becoming your vendor of choice for W501F stationary components. We pride ourselves in personalized service and excellent documentation. We offer a cost effective alternative to the OEM with improved lead times and better overall quality of the finished product. \r\n
