After touring dozens of facilities and seeing literally thousands of dysfunctional bikes, the wheels in my head started turning. The solution-reinventing the bicycle-took a lot of thought. I assembled a team of bicycle designers, engineers, metal experts and accident consultants with one goal in mind: build a better bike. We started exploring the world for safer, more reliable parts. Chains, and all the accidents they cause were first to go. Then we replaced high-maintenance rubber tires with solid-polyurethane tires. The next big problem was rust. Problem solved with an aluminum alloy frame and stainless steel hardware. From grips to grease, every part has been tested for safety, reliability and durability. Because of Rugged Cycles' uncompromising quality, they eventually pay for themselves with money saved on parts and maintenance costs. It seems we've met our goal to build a better bike, but we are constantly looking for ways to improve. New models and accessories are in development to ensure Rugged Cycles can meet your every bicycle fleet need.
