Parabeam b.v. (Helmond, The Netherlands) manufactures the unique Parabeam# 3D Glass Fabrics.\r\nThe fabrics consist of woven E-glass with two parallel decks integrally woven together by means of vertical pile threads.\r\nUpon impregnation with a thermoset resin (polyester, vinylester, epoxy or phenolic), capillary forces will make the two decklayers separate directly, evenly and autonomously until the preset height. Parabeam# fabrics are available in thicknesses between 3 and 22 mm (0.12" and 0.87"). Conventional processing techniques do not have to be altered: hand lay-up; spray-up; centrifugal casting or filament winding.\r\nBesides exceptional lightweight and mechanical properties, Parabeam# provides an interstitial space between the decklayers.\r\n\r\nParabeam# fabrics are available in two product ranges: ParaGlass and ParaTank.\r\nWhile ParaGlass fabrics are general purpose fabrics used as a 100% E-glass core material or used for flat or curved panels -a great benefit is that the two faces are already integrated on both sides of the core material- ParaTank fabrics are specifically designed for the creation of double wall tanks and the interstitial space provides (besides the double wall structure) ideal conditions for the attachment of continuous leak detection systems. New double wall tanks can be created as well as existing single wall UST's or AST's which can be easily and cost-effectively transformed into double wall.\r\n\r\nParabeam# fabrics do not delaminate, provide considerable insulation properties, add strength and stiffness to your laminate and help you obtaining a thick laminate in a very short time.
