The goal of the NASA Technology Transfer office is to contribute to the U.S. economy by transferring NASA-developed technology into the private sector in the form of processes, products or programs to fulfill the public's technical and business needs. The results is an enhanced potential for industrial productivity, creation of jobs and increased return on investment for the taxpayer. NASA makes these technologies available to the public in three primary ways, licensing and dual-use opportunities, and technology assistance.
