Isomag Corp., founded in 1994, manufactures magnetic face seals designed to hermetically seal pump and turbine bearing housings, gearboxes, motors, and blowers. When the equipment is operating, and when it is on standby, there is no aspiration of air or liquid across the faces. Isomags are easy to install and tolerant of misalignment in horizontal or vertical configurations. Isomags perform equally well in gas lubricated or liquid lubricated environments, and are warranted for four years in most applications. A recent breakthrough in surface technology improves performance norms to less than 100 ppm emissions and extremely low coefficients of friction.
